VETERAN'S AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

Over the next several months the VAC will be extremely busy:

April 15 - VETS day at the Lodge will consist of fishing at Sunset Beach Pier, Lunch at the
Lodge and after lunch there will be bingo and entertainment.


May 24 - Barbeque at the VA Home in Fayetteville, NC


June 5 - Flea Market at the Lodge, any items that you would like to donate please contact Austin Sammon 910-579-5838, or George Griffin 910-754-8545.
Packages to Service Personnel Overseas - This is an ongoing activity where we need names and address of military personnel from our members.


Furniture for Ft. Bragg and Parris Island/ Beaufort Marine/Navy Air Station -There is a need for furniture. If you have any furniture that you no longer need please donate it to this important effort. You can contact Austin Sammon 910-579-5838, or George Griffin 910-754-8545.


Veterans History Program - This consists of interviews with WWII, Korean, Vietnam and other veterans.
Telephone tickets donated by Calabash Lodge - These tickets are being sent to Ft. Brag, Fayetteville, NC, Parris Island, Beaufort, SC and Camp Le Jejune, Jacksonville, NC


Future activities to be conducted by the VAC - Mini Golf Tournament in October and Veterans Day Dinner Dance in November.

 


 

 


Elks National Foundation

In this second month of our Elks year it is time to build our contributions to the ENF as the earlier we contribute the more money can be invest by the trustees to strengthen the fund. Let me remind you that you can go to the www. calabashelks.com on the internet and make donations direct to ENF. Hit the Elks National Foundation button and this will give you interesting information about the Foundation. You will note at the top of this page a red heart that gives you access to donate by credit card or bank draft. You may also have monthly withdrawals for your account. E-mails will be returned to acknowledge your pledge. Any of the members of the Lodges ENF Committee will be happy to take your donation.
