ELKS LADIES AUXILIARY

The holidays will soon be upon us. This is one of the busiest times of the year for the Auxiliary. We are planning several activities in the coming months.

Our Holiday Meals Committee is getting everything ready for arranging meals for several families in Brunswick County for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our Italian Basket raffle proceeds allows us to do this. Thanks to all who bought tickets.

Please join us for our annual Christmas Bazaar and Cookie Walk on December 3 from 10 AM - 2 PM at the Lodge. There are many interesting vendors selling their products, along with delicious cookies, fudge, soups, and quick breads made by our members. Proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House and several local charities.

Our Ladies Auxiliary Christmas dinner/dance will be held on December 7 @ 6:00PM. This year the ladies decided to have a traditional holiday meal instead of pot luck. Your entry into the dinner will be your present for a resident of Shallotte Assisted Living. The meal is $10/person. Please contact Jeri Levchuk (843-877-0799) if you have not gotten a resident's name from the tree and Deb O'Brien (910-575-7633) if you have not signed up for the dinner.

Our next card party is on January 24, 2012 from 11AM - 3PM. It will be held at Ryans in North Myrtle Beach. Ticket are $15/person. Contact Jean Palmer (910-579-1601) for information and tickets.

As we celebrate with family and friends over the holidays, take time to send positive thoughts out to our military who are possibly far away. We owe them so much because of their sacrifices.
