The Calabash Elks Lodge treated 50 children from Jessie May Elementary School to Christmas with Santa on Saturday December 17th. The Children’s party included pizza, donated by Papa John’s, and ice cream, donated by the Back Porch Ice Cream shop, followed by a scramble for candy as piñatas were broken open. Santa’s visit was preceded by a visit from the Grinch who finally left after being given a bag a candy. Santa arrived to a chorus of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and proceeded to give each child a Christmas present from the Elks.
